Cairo Anti Piracy Summit

(EMAILWIRE.COM, April 30, 2009 ) Cairo, Egypt - Phoenix Intelligence Support Services, Inc. – Anti Piracy Unit, Managing Director Mr. William “Bo” Fielding, announced today that due to the recent spiking violent piracy in the Gulf of Aden and surrounding areas with over 20 ships and more than 200 people currently being held by pirates, an emergency summit has been organized through contacts with the government of Egypt, Somalia, Djibouti, Yemen, Jordan, Panama, Malaysia International Agencies and Industry leaders and others to bring together an unprecedented group of Top Level Government and private private sector decision makers and experts from key Government Agencies, which will include major shipping, insurance, security and policy experts to present “immediate short term solutions”, as well as long term policy models, to combat the growing scourge of criminal piracy in the world’s most vital trade routes and waterways.

Mr. Fielding stated that: “this international Summit and conference will bring together for the first time, the key decision makers and experts with "real solutions", that will be reflected on the sea, as well as on the ground, within a very short period of time, rather than just a discussion forum, on this vital and important issue”.

Delegates and invited guests , include members of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), CT151, AFRICOM, SOMICOM, ENIGMA, US State Department, African Union, Suez Canal Authorities, Panama Canal and Malaysian Authorities, Special Operations Commanders or their representatives from Yemen, Djibouti, Jordan, USA, Spain, France, Germany and other EU Member Countries, Counter-Terrorism Experts, Lloyd's and other major Insurance Underwriters, Secretary General of Greek Arab Affairs Ambassador Moheb El Samara (Egypt), Major Shipping Companies, members of the Somali transitional Government and many other experts and dignitaries from Egypt, Asia, Middle East and Africa.
