Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q Aimed to Reward Co-Workers with Gas Cards

(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 30, 2008 ) Cary, NC: Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q announced today that their Zebulon store won a week-long competition held among the North Carolina restaurants to promote their newest product offering. The competing stores aspired to sell the most brownies, Smithfield’s latest addition to the menu, in order to be awarded a prize. All of the employees at the Zebulon location will receive gas cards issued by the company for winning the competition.

Gregory Moore, CEO and founder of Smithfield’s said, “We decided holding a competition was an excellent way to promote our latest product.” In addition to successfully promoting the brownies, Moore felt the contest was a great way to demonstrate employee appreciation. “With the surging gas prices, we thought making gas cards the winning prize was a relevant way to reward our co-workers,” Moore added.
